Topic: Really Slow Server

Hello,
i have installed sme 7pre1 and upgraded to 7pre4
howver my server seems to be going slower than ever before.
when i open the default server manager it takes 4 to 10 seconds just for the main page to open.
the machine is a 2.0 athlon with 512 and 80gb hd
p.s this is a new install
smbd is showing upto 15% cpu at times  on top,
any ideas what i can look at to fix this
i did useto have 6.01 and it was alott faster.

Well SME7 has a lot more stuff in it and a lot more processes running than SME6.
Server-manager opens up in secure page (https), which will always be a lot slower than a regular web page.

This is what I was afraid was going to happen. If the new version takes 15% more cpu time thats not good.

ok how does this sound.
i open http://192.168.1.1 which is the "This web site is under construction"
and it takes up to 10 seconds to open this page but normal
web surfing is ok.

Sounds like there might be something wrong with server configuration. My test server is only Celeron 466MHZ, I have installed  SME Server 7.0rc1 and my web page has a lot of graphics and flash animation, and when I go to it, it opens up almost instantly.
