Topic: User login/logout on squid

Hi,

For billing purposes I would like that local users should have to login before granted http access and logout when they have finished.   Access should be written to a log file.

Does it exist a solution for this for e-smith 4.1.2?

we use here at university the nsca_auth password protection to keep away non students from the pools: http://www.squid-cache.org/related-software.html
 it works with a htpasswd file. another way is user authentication through samba:
