Topic: time to upgrade?

Hello..

I have been a loyal SME user for a while now, I have many 6.01 boxes all over the country and i am having endless spam problems. my understanding is that these issues do not exist in SME7 so my question is:

is now the time to upgrade? or do i wait for the full SME 7 release?

any suggestions?

Obviously sme7 is in an advanced state of development and may work quite satisfactorily for most users. Bugs are still being found eg VPN problems, so if you deploy sme7RC1 now, then something that you need may not work properly. Ultimately it's your choice.
The developers would love you to deploy test servers and fully test the functionality. Whether you do testing in a production environment is your choice as you carry the responsibility if something goes wrong or doesn't work, not the developers.

Most of the functionality in sme7 is available in sme6 by means of add on contribs.
I'm sure you could tame spam on a sme 6 box quite satisfactorily with a few tweaks.
