FTP Configuration and Rights question.
« on: April 14, 2006, 04:54:08 PM »
I have a client who has started using FTP on their SME Server 7.0.

They are wanting to create an FTP folder where their clients can upload files, see the file listing, but not be able to download any files.  They want this as a generic folder, used by all of their clients.  Not Anonymous, there is a generic login for all of their clients.

They also need to be able to access this folder logged in as an employee account, with full rights to the folder to retrieve the files and delete as needed.

Is this feasible?  Can you point me in the right direction?  I'm guessing I need to reconfigure settings for the FTP, not just changing directory rights.

Thank you.

Saw this the other day on Freshmeat and wondered if it'd be easy to install on SME 7.  Give it a go and let us know!
