Detect new hardware
« on: May 11, 2006, 05:51:14 AM »
is there a way to get sme to detect a new network card, a netgear fa311.

sme will not run in server & gateway mode because it did not detect the new nic, is there a way to get sme to detect new hardware

If I run this command. kudzu --class network, it brings up other configuration and not the network, which is what i'm after

if i run kudzu --bus pci, it just wants to change the keyboard

what command is used to change nic

why does kudzu --class network, bring up configuration for usb, keyboard & other devices, but not anything to do with networking

so i did kudzu --class ide, which did bring up networking

kudzu --bus pci, just brings up the keyboard

is this a bug or me

fixit

The card needs to be supported, so check that first at Centos.
Log in as admin and run the Configuration option, cards are auto detected now.
