Corrupt files on CD?
« on: May 26, 2006, 09:31:46 AM »
I downloaded the 7.0 rc2 iso and put it to CD.
At the beginning of the install it asks to check the CD. The check went well.
At install several packages would not install because CD seems to be corrupt.  How accurat is the check at the beginning?

It happens with the packages bash and time.
What action do need to take to get the 2 packages?

Corrupt files on CD?

I've had this happen to me on occasion with SME 7 as well.  I solved the problem by burning a new CD.  My guess is that you'll run into problems if bash didn't install as that's the shell SME uses.  If this is a new install and you haven't really done alot of work on the machine yet, I'd burn a new CD and try the install again.

To answer your question, you can get the rpms from here:  http://mirror.contribs.org/smeserver/releases/7/os/i386/CentOS/RPMS/
