Win2K roaming profile

Here's the error:
-=-=-
Windows cannot update your roaming profile. Contact your network administrator.

DETAIL - The process cannot access the file because another process has locked a portion of the file.
-=-=-
This happens when I log out of windows 2k.
I have just installed the newest version of samba, and have logged into the domain. I'm new at this and I'm wondering how to install or setup roaming profiles.

Thank you fay any help you can give,

I think you can find what you need on this page:
http://www.e-smith.org/contrib/rpm-index/RPM-e-smith-winprofiles-0.1-1.src.html

I tried that, but the file is no longer on the server, or somewhere else. I can't download it. Is there an alternative download site?

Thanks,

Oops, try the link below. It should work better:

ftp.e-smith.com/pub/e-smith/contrib/DanielvanRaay/SRPMS/e-smith-winprofiles-0.1-2.src.rpm

It has to be something simple now, I still get the message, but there is now a profile folder in the /home directory. I think I have to change the permissions on the file, I just don't know what file, and what to set them to.
Let me know if this sounds like I'm going in the right direction.

what version of e-smith are you using cause i'm using sme5 with samba 2.2.1a and i didn't have to do anything at all it was all setup and ready to go
when i create a new profile the  a directory with that usernane is created and the permissions are 777 to the owner i.e username is darren so the owner is darren:darren and the permissions are drwx------.
i did see a similar problem you have when i had e-smith 4.2 installed but it still saved the profile ??

Think it has something to do with strict locking. Check if in /etc/smb.conf strict locking is set to yes. If it is disable it through the templates. Not exactly sure what the other consequenses will be though....I changed it a while back haven't experienced any problems yet.

good luck
