Mirroring Data from a SNAP drive
« on: June 13, 2006, 08:30:03 PM »
Hello,

I could use some advice.  Usually I just blunder in and make mistakes.  Today I'd like to learn from you.

I have a SNAP drive where we put designs/drawings.  I need to get this information mirrored or otherwise copied to an IBAY on the SME so I can give access to our partners.

  Any ideas?

ncftpget? rsync? simple bash script?  Some kind of back tool?

  Thanks in advance. :-)

At the moment I work in a 100% M$ environment so Linux tools are not an option :(

I can recommend Beyond Compare from  http://www.scootersoftware.com/

Reliably copies files on Windows shares and also ftp servers.

Give the 15day trial a go.

No connections with the company just a happy user.

With a SNAP server you can export the share as an NFS share. You could try creating an iBay and mount the NFS share in the iBay and access it that way.

Just a theory.
