Topic: can you load email directly into a MySQL table

I'd like all email for a particular e-mail address  to go directly into a MySQL table.  This mail is used in two way paging, and I have to automatically read it and then process it based on complicated rules so an email client won't do.

I've searched for how to do this, but get millions of hits which are irrelevant.

I've got Widnows user code that will open the user Maildir and grab the file, but I'd rather do this on the server and have the user query the MySQL table.

Any ideas on how to do this, or where/how to search for help appreciated.

It is frustrating to load webmail and see it "happening" but the horde database doesn't seem to contain the actual mail!
