I'm not sure (because you have posted VERY little information) but it looks to me like your are trying to send Email as a gmail user and the system thinks your are on the outside and trying to SPAM.

Please post some additional info if possible.

No, that's not what the message shows. The message shows an attempt to send mail to a  gmail address, but via mx2.elga.net.id. (202.173.64.2) rather than to a qmail mail exchanger. I'd guess that rasara1 has put the wrong SMTP server name in the SmartHost setting of the email configuration panel. Either use no SmartHost, or one which *will* relay mail for you.

Thanks for chiming in.  I did not really feel like I had a good answer, but my lame reply caused you to provide a better answer.  Thanks Charlie!

simply enter your providers SMTP in server-manager under e-mail settings  panel, hope this helps.
for me it works fine also with an dynamic IP.

I'm having a similar problem with my newly installed SMEServer. I have Earthlink residential DSL. I've put in their SMTP server info in the config on the server-manager (smtp.earthlink.net) under change email delivery settings. I've included my username and password. But I can't send any mail. Here's the error:

127.0.0.1 does not like recipient.
Remote host said: 550-EarthLink does not recognize your computer (xx.xx.xx.xx) as connecting from an EarthLink connection.  If this is in error, please contact technical support.
550 relaying to <wifinetguy@gmail.com> prohibited by administrator
Giving up on 127.0.0.1.

The gmail account reference above is the recipient. I've tried it with authentication on and off and also tried it disabled. But since I'm on a dynamic IP, Earthlink doesn't like it.

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

hi wifinetguy

ok, i think the problem is username and password. enter only the smtp server from your provider, without change other stuff.

we have a similar konstelation like you and it works, also with dynamic IP!

Thank you for the reply. I tried your suggestion, only having the server info, smtp.earthlink.net, and took out username and pwd and disabled authentication. But still got the same result.

Ask Earthlink's "administrator". Tell them they need to list xx.xx.xx.xx as an Earthlink connection. IOW, they appear to have given you an IP address which is not recognised as "local" by Earthlink's SMTP server.

This is an issue between you and your ISP, not a technical software issue.
