Is there any way to proxy all outbound connections through SME?

I have SME 7.0rc3 in server only mode.

A NAT firewall blocking all outbound traffic except the server.

I'm trying to lock this network down for the kiddos.  So far I have everything working great except Thunderbird to external POP and IMAP accounts.  I've read about the fetchmail solution but I'm looking for a way to keep it simple so that visitors can check their mail w/o any config changes on the server or notebooks.

Any help is appreciated.
