I have just installed the latest rpm for this contrib using yum localinstall. I can access the myadmin webpage (although I note the rpm does not include https redirection). There are two problems I am having. The first is the opening log in page tells me that I have Invalid hostname for server 2 and server 3 and to check the configuration. Secondly I cannot login using the admin user and admin password - I get a 1045 error Access Denied for user admin@localhost.

Anyone any ideas - I am on latest SME 7.0

the admin and pass for myphpadmin is different than for your box. You can read the note at the end of the install to find it. Then you can/should change the pass to whatever you want.

Yes, thanks and sorry. I have sorted it now. I had been reading the instructions as meaning access was with admin and admin password - i.e that of the box, whereas it is quite literally admin adn admin!

Now you can access phpmyadmin though your browser at tttps://server_name/myadmin You can connect using login admin and password admin. Don't forget to change it If you update a 2.1 version of this contribs, admin password don't change!

I tried to login using the box admin login and password, no joy. The message does not tell me where or how to change the password. Can u tell me how to do it?

Opps, should have read the previous post. Have logged in with admin and password admin.
