Help ! I have suffered badly from finger slip!
« on: July 24, 2006, 04:24:38 PM »
I did a really dumb thing today! I was looking in the /var/qmail directory and stupidly deleted the whole thing ! No backup! No nothing....

How can I get this back? as now all the email has stopped.

Thanks
Infamy, Infamy, they all have it in for me!

How did you delete it? you have to press 2 buttons before you can delete.

You might wish to use the cdrom boot from it and when it says install new erase or upgrade current 7.0 choose the upgrade 7.0 (mind the old finger)

I have only done the above once so beware it may not work for you.

Do "rpm -e --nodeps qmail" then do another upgrade.
