I upgraded our server to SME 7.0 over the weekend (actually it was a new installation on the same machine, with a restore of old data). Everything is running fine, but a number of MySQL queries are locking up the server. The same queries ran absolutely fine on my previous server (6.5).
I realise that this may be a MySQL issue and I am looking at optimising the queries, but I'm puzzled why an upgrade to MySQL 4.1 would cause such a deterioration in the speed of database queries. Has anyone else run into similar problems?
I haven't identified anything in the logs. Would appreciate any pointers
