Hi one of my customers had a 6.0.1 server meltdown (mainboardand tape backup fried) I put in a new mainboard, processor and chip. I tried to update to 7 but failed to remove extra rpm's that were installed. needless to say it didn't work to well . i then did a fresh build of 7 and a restore from disk of the users and Ibays. After the reboot i can log in from windows but cannot access the shares. i have logged this as a bug but am getting desperate to get this box back together. below is an extract from the message log for smbd.

ffg- don't know what this stands for    => Flash Flood Guidance?
web server - read the SME manual
mail server - read the SME manual
vpn - read the SME manual
domain controllers for windows pcs to log in - read the SME manual
and remote admin of the server - read the SME manual

And for future reference:
- Write new topics as a new topic and don't hijack posts.
- Read the user manual before posting stupid questions (how to setup web an mailserver). This is stock in SME and you should know that if you'd read the manual.
- Search the forum before asking questions because some of them are answered more than once.
- Check the wiki (contains the manual, FAQ and howto's).
"It should just work" if it doesn't report it. Thanks!
