Hi, I would like to run multiple email servers for redundancy and high-availability.
I would like to know if anyone has setup SME as a front-end email server which can get the email from a back-end server. Basically I think this would be a perfect job for the SME server as it is a geat server that is easy to build and operate.
When it is overworked because of too many users etc, being able to use it as a front-end to querry a back-end email server seems appropriate.
I would like to hold all account info and emails on a back-end server and use the SME as a front-end server providing the smtp email delivery, webmail and pop3 front-end. I would then use Carp or something similar to provide multiple front end servers.
Not sure yet what to use the sync between backend servers.
Any suggestions or advice on how to go about this would be appreciated.
