Good Morning,

The first thing to do is search the forums. Always a good rule of thumb. If you are using the script for SME7 that installs it, you will have to manually edit the metadot.conf and other files to finalize the installation. The tt2 files not being found is a indication that you have not manually edited the metadot.conf as instructed by the how-to that accompanies the script. I've installed it many times with great success.

To uninstall Metadot, you got to remove the template fragment located in

/etc/e-smith/templates-custom/etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf/

delete the file 87metadot

Then run the following commands

expand-template /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf

/etc/rc.d/init.d/httpd-admin restart

/etc/rc.d/init.d/httpd-e-smith  restart

remove all files from the ibay you installed metadot into

I'm going to attempt an install, but I'm not sure of the features I'm looking for

I can't really tell by the descriptions if it will do what I need.

I searched google and the forums etc.

I'm trying find out if Metadot will allo users to create thier own websites in which I can create perhaps a virtual domain for that page so they can get the DNS host to point to that page as well. Metadot seems to have a lot of nice features but I can't tell if it will do what I'm looking for.

Please advise
