Domain Mail Blocking via goodrcptto??
« on: August 13, 2006, 07:08:52 PM »
Hello,

I´ve got following problem, i want to limit special useraccounts to special domains (hosted on SME 7). I just look in the plugin files of qsmtpd and I found the file goodrcptto which contains the accepted mailing addresses of all users, but if I remove some addresses to simulate mailblocking (I know that the next expand template will restore the original settings) nothing happens. Mailserver accept all mail addresses inclusive the removed from goodrcptto.

A restart of qmail and qpsmtpd doesn't help. Could someone help me?

Best regards,
Daniel

It is possible with pseudonyms to lock special mail addresses to domains. Now my question is, could this feature included into 'create user'? So you could make a choice like a drop down box, assign user to
"all domains"
"domain1"
"domain2"
?

Best regards,
Daniel

Well the developers just added that domain email feature to the pseudonyms panel in sme7, so be thankful you have that now.

The idea is for you to go to the bugtracker and submit your request as a New Feature Request (NFR). The developers will assess it for merit.

Hello,

signal-event email-update didn't help, it have to do something with /var/qmail/bin/qmail-newu. It was executed while processing user and pseudonyms.

It should be executed if user or pseudonyms changed in goodrcptto. Maybe some support of the core developers is needed. But I don't give up, I'll find a way to fix this problem and start running a customized SME7 productivity system, it will only take time to understand...

Best regards,
Daniel
