« on: August 19, 2006, 11:34:30 PM »
Hello folks i have one question for all who can easy tell me what is the point of having multi domain in one computer when for example i have installed sme7 in one my machine home for testing and i have two domain names and i have add both of them in same machine and i have created two accounts for one domain and two more for another domain now when i send email form one domain to another i comes in two domain same mail with same username example user@domain1.com and user@domain2.com is ther some missconfiguration or not if now i will sugesst to not add that feature in future because if we created one user in system and have 10 domains the same user will exist in all our domains.

i hope that i will get answer that im looking for.

You can configure multiple users for multiple domains in the Pseudonyms panel.

I understood your question but you didn't understand my answer.

sme only has one user set, applicable to ALL hosted domains.
If you create a user called
user1
then that user WILL receive email for all valid domains
eg
user1@domain1 > user1
user1@domain2 > user1
user1@domain3 > user1

The correct way to manage email for multiple domains is by using the pseudonyms panel to direct email to appropriate users at appropriate domains.
eg
user1@domain1 > johnb
user1@domain2 > paulw
user2@domain1 > marys
user2@domain2 > sueb

etc etc

In this case do not create user1 or user2 directly as a user account, but as a pseudonym directed to a user account or group.

so with this solution the sme user will receive mail for his username + for the pseudonym set foreach domains.

But how to redirect the  "admin@virtdomain.net"  to the user in charge of the domain instead of the admin of the sme
