Hi folks:
I've got SME Server 7 installed on an old laptop with a PII 400 processor. I'm looking to allow access to the email client, the admin pages, and the IMAP email without encryption, as I'd be entering my LAN through a VPN, and the processor in the laptop is at the bottom end of what's acceptable and I don't need the extra load that the encryption causes.
Whenever I try to access the webmail gui or the admin web pages, it always forces me to https. Also, when I tried IMAP with Outlook it required me to do SSL (port 993), and I keep getting the certificate message every time I connect. At the end of the day I'd like all the encryption to be optional from addresses within the local lan, and the only encryption I'd need would be for the web mail gui if it's accessed directly from the internet (i.e. not via VPN).
Suggestions welcome.
