All the clients in my network are having the same problem. We all keep getting randomly kicked off of programs like AIM every like 20 or 30 minutes. Now I know AIM isn't a way to test a machine but if a connection dies for a little while AIM will die with it, and I'm starting to think something could be wrong with my SME server.
I have the server as my router in server/gateway mode.
The proxy issue is my lack of understanding of how to setup software to use a proxy. when it asks for a proxy i put servername.domain and port 3128 ? then username/pw ... admin/pw ?
Anyway to test a machine to see if it's sputtering or going on the fritz (it's dual proc) One of the CPUs for past year or 2 has been running 70C, other normal 35-40C...When I physically touch heatsinks they feel the same, thermalpaste, heatsinks everything is good but I can't help but wonder if it's really 70C or a diod problem.
