Not long had SME, but can't see this in the manuals or forums:

I took a glance through my maillog and spotted:
Code: [Select]

Aug 31 21:50:27 SME fetchmail[22910]: SMTP error: 552 Virus Found: HTML.Phishing.Bank-666
Aug 31 21:50:29 SME fetchmail[22910]: mail from FETCHMAIL-DAEMON@SME.LOCAL.DOMAIN bounced to online-support_id_992843209689001id@bankofscotland.co.uk
Aug 31 21:50:29 SME fetchmail[22910]: SMTP listener refused delivery

Above is sanitized.

There has to be an option *not* to email the person who doesn't have a virus - I just can't spot it.

Cheers

Bob

Avoid use of 'multi-drop' email. If your domain's email had been delivered directly to your SME server, rather than delivered to a mailbox at your ISP, then the mail would not have been accepted, and a bounce would not have been generated by your server.

I'm not on a decent enough connection for my liking to use smtp directly
Hence my slightly customised use of fetchmail and crontab

I don't care if my "real" smtp server takes the mail and lets me grab it, I just don't want to respond to a random person who had nothing to do with the mail...
