I've recently switched to Rogers cable service here in Toronto. Since many servers these days don't allow relaying, I need to use they're smtp server which requires authentication. I take it this isnt' supported in SME 5 update 3. I've set up my local machines to use their smtp server and authenticate which works fine, but when I use IMP (webmail) it doesn't work (because e-smith isn't authenticating)
Can anybody help me to configure e-smith (qmail or whatever) to authenticate? Is there someway to get IMP (webmail) to authenticate? It would also be nice to have my local machines point to mail.myserver.com and then set e-smith to use the rogers smtp server.
