Fetchmail not working
« on: September 12, 2006, 04:00:14 PM »
I'm unable to receive emails using fetchmail, isn't going out to get mails on a pop server:
Code: [Select]
Sep 12 08:33:14 sme fetchmail[12506]: Query status=2 (SOCKET)
Sep 12 08:48:25 sme fetchmail[12675]: Query status=2 (SOCKET)
Sep 12 09:03:14 sme fetchmail[12799]: Query status=2 (SOCKET)
Sep 12 09:18:15 sme fetchmail[12968]: Query status=2 (SOCKET)
Sep 12 09:33:22 sme fetchmail[13117]: Query status=2 (SOCKET)
Sep 12 09:48:27 sme fetchmail[13278]: Query status=2 (SOCKET)

Code: [Select]
/etc/startmail returns nothing

According to the manual http://fetchmail.berlios.de/fetchmail-man.html exit code 2:
Quote
2    An error was encountered when attempting to open a socket to retrieve mail. If you don’t know what a socket is, don’t worry about it -- just treat this as an ’unrecoverable error’. This error can also be because a protocol fetchmail wants to use is not listed in /etc/services.

Anyone have any ideas on what could this be?
This system is a server-only mode.

Thanks,

Thanks,
Please file it as a bug in the bugtracker. There is a category for contribs and the fetchmail contrib is in there.
