Cache problem
« on: September 17, 2006, 07:31:43 PM »
Since the last few days I get a lot of errors like thes when trying to access pages outside my local network:
Code: [Select]
ERROR
The requested URL could not be retrieved

While trying to retrieve the URL: http://www.google.com/search?

The following error was encountered:

    * Connection Failed

The system returned:

    (113) No route to host

The remote host or network may be down. Please try the request again.

My system is confiigured as server/gateway and has proxy enabled for http and smtp.

Sometimes it happens after following a link, sometimes directly, although it says there is no route to host, I am able to ping the host using terminal access from my server.

To me it seems that there is a problem with the proxy/caching is that correct? Is there a way to empty/rebuild the cache?
Be careful whose advice you buy, but be patient with those who supply it. Advice is a form of nostalgia, dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than its worth ~ Baz Luhrmann - Everybody's Free (To Wear Sunscreen)
