OpenLdap - file size of slapd.log

OpenLdap - file size of slapd.log

The file size of my slapd.log is about to exceed 100 MB.

Question: Is it possible to define a smaller size of this log? Can I delete it without running into trouble?

What are the entries in the log?
Anything repetitive?
