Exactly the same... did you try?

Yes I did;~/ So many errors flowed past I felt sure
that perhaps the SME7 flavour of the command was
different. It's a command I have noted in my audit
notes to 'redo' the control panel's line items and I
remember it sorted out various accumulated glitches.
I have one such in SME7... an 'Unknown' category
in bold following by an indented 'null'. Something
might have badly installed itself and I was hoping
that that was the command that would fix it.

You are right is sometimes does even out glitches, but I have seen a lot of contribs causing error messages from the Lexer on expanding the server-manager templates, as I had no time in trying to discover which of the many contribs caused this event I let it rest, instead of determining where the error was.

Sometimes an error might results in failure of the kind you describe. Maybe we can pinpoint more exact which contrib is causing your problems.

Did you recently install any contribs?
Which one installed something in the server-manager panel?
Of this group which are still visible? Missing one or more?

> So many errors flowed past...

That's normal even in sme6, just ignore them

Conceptually & functionally sme7 is pretty much the same as sme6, although greatly enhanced of course.

I'm finding it QUITE a difference, so much
so I've still yet to cut the production box over.

Of course there are so many detail changes, that require new commands etc etc, but the underlying way things are done is still the same/similar.

I'm most terribly sorry but I completely missed reading your last post!
Am not sure which contrib might have been responsible.
I had thought it was the dar contrib that added functionality to flexbackup.
Since the former has now been uninstalled it looks like it wasn't because
the odd 'Unknown' category and following line item of 'null' remain visible.
No big deal as I fully intend to re-install from new when the time comes to
cut over production to SME7. However I know from SME6 days that contribs
occasionally cause control panel glitches and was attempting to have a go
at resolving whatever it was while still nominally testing.
