Custom Dynamic DNS Option

PLS HELP

I have tried using dyndns.org, liked it but to get around port 80 I had to sacrifice use of a decent suffix.  I found no-ip.com to be somewhat better my problem is I can't find ANYWHERE that mentions how to customize it.

I have found 2 posts with custom scripts to do it.  Both said go in and put the code into the "Custom" file...I only had 4 files , not 5 (no custom).  So I created one.  Is there a way to test that it works, a simple way to configure SME to work with a non-standard dynamic dns?  during configuration it says to seek Mitel tech support.

Anyway hope there's a way.

Also as a side question...I've been working to get XP to join SME's domain (no luck but I'm workin on it)  I've found NOTHING on how to join a Win9x system to it....anyone help on that one please ?

Thanks for your time

There is a Custom menu option in sme7 in the Configure this server screens for dynamic managemnet setup. Try that.
I'm not sure if you need to configure additional scripts or not though.

You can download the Linux dynamic dns update utility from no-ip.com and install it intead of playing with the custom option and trying to make it work.

If you choose the 'custom' option you need to provide a /sbin/e-smith/dynamic-dns/custom script.
