Using SME 7 as Domain Controller
« on: October 20, 2006, 03:45:11 PM »
Hey everyone

I want to use SME 7 as a DC. Will it be possible to store the user profiles for the Win PC's on the server so that whichever pc a user logs on he/she will get their desktop with all the mail settings etc.

Thanks!

GF

Yes, this is called roaming profiles, you can change it using the server-manager. See the manual and this screenshot from the manual.
It might be that you need to use a registry patch when you try to join MS Windows PC's to the domain. This pacth can be found at your server on the following location: http://server-hostname-or-ip/server-resources/regedit/.
