Topic: Upgrading from 6.01 to 7.0

I am sorry if this issue has been addressed already but I can't find it

I have a 6.01 SME server which is running with no problems
installed a couple of scripts from swerts-knudsen for antivirus, spam, and MRTG
While I have about 60 users there is not a lot of data on the server so I use
the backup to desktop method creating a file currently between 800 Mb and 1 Gb
I have done a fresh install of 7.0 to another system and am trying to restore from desktop using the backup file created from the 6.01 system.
The restore attempts to run but no files appear to copied to the server

What might be the problem

Have you tried the 'disc' restore option described in Upgrading vs new install + restore?

Also have you verified the backup done on version 6.0.1 and don't forget to remove contribs/custom templates before doing a backup2Desktop as that is the most important step here.
