Topic: Dyndns not updating

Since running 5.12 I have started to use the dyndns free service for my home setup. I understand it updates the service on startup with the new dynamic IP address. When I check it from the update webpage it hasn't. Does anyone know if this is a known problem or am I missing something here? I have added the domain and details in the SME configuration via the console setup.

I have the same pb...any idea ?

my main domain name is xxx.dyndns.org and I've filled all the details and configuration to allow dyndns.org update....but it does not works

Hello Ian,

I have the same problem here with dyndns.org. This worked fine with V5.0; I guess it's a bug ...

Can somebody confirm this ?

Yes, I have the same problem.
But I fix this problem by entering my domain details by hand.
 
Make some changes in file:
/sbin/e-smith/dynamic-dns/dyndns.org     //this is on my server
insert your data there
USERID="Bla.bla"
PASSWORD="whatever"
DOMAIN="domain.dyndns.org"

Well it works for me.
