Topic: Uninstalling Knuddis AV & Spam Assasin

Hi All,

My main file server is running SME 6 with Knuddi's ClamAV and Spam Assasin, Dungog Multipop and D May's Backup2ws contribs. I want to upgrade it to v7 and I have managed to remove the multipop and backup2ws contribs but I am unsure of how to uninstall the Knuddi contribs. Does anyone know how to do this? Thanks.

Thanks for the link. I will have a go tomorrow, I need to spend Thanksgiving with the family here in Sunny FL, although the last few days have been cold but still sunny

Hi All,

I thought that before I try anything I would install SME 6 on a test machine and add Knuddis ClamAV contrib, (no point adding the backup2ws or dungog multipop because I can easily remove those anyway) and then I did an upgrade to SME 7. Now here is what I have found: In server-manager I have the standard antivirus link and Knuddis! I have turned off scanning in the standard panel and setup the scanning using knuddis panel and it appears to work I get the email to admin telling me the results etc. I even got an email telling me that there was an update for clamAV. So I guess that I can just use Knuddis panel anyhow. Anyone got any reasons why I should not use it? Any comments welcome.
