I see this conversation leading into nothing, you can't or won't change the problems i asked, so, i keep nagging about it and you keep telling me that i am nagging...

I doubt anything will be done based on threads in this forum.

If you want something changed, go to the bugtracker and raise a New Feature Request for SME Future.

Be prepared to justify what you want.

You obviously are a dumb user, not an administrator....
I think i should not share this with you, but with the minority who do administer a network with several servers.

I was hopin that the administrator could give a super-users certain rights to add users and to change certain things for them, just to keep the administrator out of this simple work.  

I was hopin too that the backend was so dynamic that it could be possible to let certain priveledges towards a super-user, to make life easier for the admin.....

User Manager

yum install smeserver-userpanel
* panels are in separate rpms for sme 7, see below for details
server-manager > remote access > user panel access

The User Manager has two functions

Admin functions can be delegated to nominated users without giving them access to all the panels in the /server-manager


Delegation
Users can be given access to configure selected settings for themselves
Panels delegated by admin are available at either

Note, the s in https
Change Password :* change your password
Forward Mail :* modify your email forwarding
Data Backup :* backup user data
Create Users :* create & modify a subset of users
Vacation Message :+ create an autoresponse message
SSH keys add public keys from a remote server to this server
Procmail :- enable procmail mail filtering
Maildrop :- enable maildrop mail filtering
Collect pop3 mail : poll for mail
Domain Email : pseudonyms for individual domains

This will keep users from barging in every 5 minutes,
and give you the opportunity to delegate to "junior"  who
will look very    when you kick butt because he/she
messed-up

Thanx, but i must say that my knowledge of Linux is not that good    but i was thinking, could this be implemented in the portal? which makes it more dynamic...

Put a post up at the suggestions, so i hope this one is really going to be in the next release...

If your reference to "portal" means the server-manager panel, then yes it
is available like the server-manager panel is.
