Internal HTTP stopped :(
« on: February 14, 2002, 11:36:45 AM »
Hi,

I have upgraded to version 5.1.2, all was fine until yesterday morning, when my internal to external http requests have stopped.

The internal browser clients are resolving the DNS queries, but no pages come through.

I can SSH on as root and lynx www.yahoo.com fine, but no clients on the internal network can browse, all other services are still working correctly.

Internal to external pings are working by IP and DNS.

I can also browse from an external box to my e-smith too.

The only change (I can think of) is I've successfully upgraded my IMP to version 3, as mentioned in these boards.

Any ideas, as I'm really stuck.

Thanks in advance
Jay

5.1.2 uses transparent proxying for HTTP requests. Check that squid is up and running

Hi,

Thanks for the reply. I _think_ it is working.

If I send a
/sbin/e-smith/db configuration setprop squid Transparent yes
/sbin/e-smith/signal-event remoteaccess-update

I do not recieve any errors. is there a better way to tell ?
