Mac OS X client can't connect to the internet
« on: December 04, 2006, 09:53:45 AM »
Hello, I have just upgraded from a celeron 333 running e-smith V5.6 to a P4 running SME V7. After five years running 24/7, the old 2G hard disk on the Celeron died...

I have the following config.

internet ==> ADSL modem ==> SME V7 ==> switch ==> PC XP PRO and MAC OS X

The MAC OS X can't connect to the internet anymore. It accesses the local sites hosted on an ibays, it pings the other PCs on the LAN, it has its correct IP address, but it just will not exit to the internet to anything.

The MAC OS X computer was wirking fine with e-smith V5.6.

The PC XP PRO runs just fine.

I have just about zero experience with Apple computers, but anyone had the same problem?

Thanks in advance for any good answer which might lead me to where my problem is.

Do you have the correct gateway (router) ip of your new server configured in the mac?
