Topic: PostgreSQL on SME Server

I have an application that I want to install on SME server that requires PostgreSQL

My questions are:

1) Can I install PostgreSQL on SME Server? If yes, are there RPM's available that I can use to install?

2) I already have several programs installed that use SME default MySQL, and I want to keep using them while still being able to install this new application. So can I have both MySQL and PostgreSQL installed at the same time?

Yes, you can install PostgreSQL on sme7, and mysql will still work. As far as the rpms, I think you can find them by searching the contribs. Also search for sql ledger. It also uses PostgreSQL.

Thank you crazybob, my biggest fear was that MySQL will not work after installing PostgreSQL. Thanks for calming my nerves by letting me know that  they both can work at the same time.
