Settings for daily updates
« on: December 22, 2006, 11:06:16 AM »
Hi there,

After a recent YUM-update I see that CentOS and CentOS-updates repositories are visible in the SM Software Installer panel. This has me a bit confused... What are the recommended settings if I want to check for updates daily, but only to install updates that have been tested and are safe for SME? Obviously I have "Check for updates daily" enabled, but what about the settings in "Manage individual packages" and which repositories should be enabled/disabled?

Thanks,

Oz

AFAIK you should only enable smeos, smeaddons and smeupdates, all others can be visible but should not be enabled by default.

Agreed, mine only has SME addons, os & updates enabled.  CentOS anything is not highlighted.  You may have enabled those repo's at some point without remembering it.
