I've installed TYPO3 with the mentioned rpm.

Everything installed fine.

After installing I can't create pages. I get the following error:

2: SQL error: 'Unknown column 'hidden' in 'field list'' (pages:NEW4591ff5fe0fd7)

Any idea?

This seems to be an issue with the tables of tpyo3 and not of smeserver, it seems that the field hidden does not exist on one of the tables. Did you follow the installation instruction? Did you report your problem in the bugtracker (or in case there is no category for it to the author of the contrib). Did you ask at the typo3 support site?
