Sme Server loses Network settings
« on: February 08, 2007, 12:47:10 AM »
I am installing SME 7.1 and select Server Only.
After the reboot there is not Network in there. I go to reconfigure and reboot and after that the Network is up, but if I reboot the Network will stay down and I have to reconfigure it.
This behaviour sucks. As a nic I am using a 3COm 905 Card. Oh already tried different Network Cards and different PCI Slots.
Any other Idea how to fix this?
Cheers

Maybe your network card is not autodetected, try another type/brand.

Hi, the 3Com Card is autodetected. I also tried a Networkcard with a RTL8139 Chip.
The Problem is that on any second reboot no Card is detected and only the Loopback Interface will appear. Any other suggestions on how to track this issue down?
Regards
