I was running fetchmail on my server and under the user "a" i had 4 pop mailboxes. To seperate this I connected his outlook under imap to the server and then set up rules for each of the 4 pop boxes and made folders within the imap inbox so the rule would push the email to the correct subfolder when it arrived based on sent to. This worked fine.
However, (with me messing about with the server) I managed to break it and had to do a fresh install and use the backup from dar2. Everything went back fine apart from one thing.
When i connected the user "a" back to the server the only emails he could see where the ones in the inbox. All rules had gone, all sub folders and all the emails within the subfolders.
The way i set it up before was i would connect the user "a" to the sme and he would then recieve all the emails for all 4 mailboxes straight to his inbox. The problem with this was that if he got an email that was sent to b@domain.com it arrived in his inbox and when he clicked reply it would ALWAYS reply from the primary email addy. What i would like is that i can set the mailboxes up so he will get them but they all have the own inbox so when he clicks reply it will reply with the same address it was sent to.
Any ideas and to make sure that if i need to perform a backup they will all be backed up.
