Hi There

I'm i bit new to Sme server / linux so bare with me.

Would it be possible to get the sme server to support my raid controller in the future?
I have the driver for a older kernel version and with bit of luck i might get the Linux partial open source code (2.6 kernel) driver compiled for my sme server. But what will happen on the next upgrade?

Please search here. You'll find repeated advice to avoid "fake RAID" cards and use linux's superior built-in software RAID.

See, for example:

https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-source-2.6.17/+bug/67468

Sell your promise controller, and use stock ATA or SATA controllers.
