GemStone and /etc/fstab

I was also wondering if anyone has tried to install Gemstone on an e-smith server. I am interested in using my server for some object oriented database serving and gemstone seems to be the best free one available, but I am pretty sure that the install is going to be a (explitive deleted). Also is there any special tricks to installing filesystems. I added a hard drive and I have gottne it working by just editing /etc/fstab but I have a feeling that this is not the best way to do it.
Thanks again

I can't answer your OODB question but as far as the fstab stuff, that tends to be about it.
Unlike most other areas of SME, the fstab file seems to get 'reparsed' as opposed to built up from template files.
