Reinstall SME Control Panel (server-manager)
« on: March 14, 2007, 03:16:12 PM »
hi there,

Trying to set up a decent DEV environment, very impressed with SME well done!

However, something iv done seems to have corrupted the default httpd conf settings and have lost all the paths to the CP. (I added a sub sub domain ;) dev.internal.etc.).

is there any way of restoring the default apache settings?

Thanks in Advance!
SD

Try this
Move or delete any custom template changes you have made, then do
signal-event post-upgrade
reboot
...

Hi Ray thanks for the tip and your time. seemed to work. However After the daily update (this morning). the whole server-manager has fallen over again.

i.e. https://moth/server-common/cgi-bin/login?redirect=1&back=http%3A%2F%2Fmoth%2Fserver-manager

thats the redirect after hitting http://moth/server-manager and accepting the ssl certificate..

very interesting. any more help would be appreciated. It seems a very nicely cofigurable base system, but am having these qirky problems.
