ibays web access
« on: March 14, 2007, 07:06:00 PM »
Hi

I´d like to know how to change permissions to web access to ibays.
I´d like to see webacess to ibays to be restricted by internal users instead of by one single password for all ibay.

Let´s put an example to be clearer:
Ibay INTRANET with web acesss enabled and password "myintranet"

For anyone to access, it must put "intranet" as user and "myintranet" as password, not his own user/password.
If INTRANET ibay had owner = intranet_user_grp and permissions as WRITE=group. READ=group ; so just them could access
if permissions were like WRITE=group; read=EVERYONE so anyone could read it but just the group could create a new file there (webDAV!)

I think would be easier/simpler because is another password you DONT need to remember/change when forgotten.

Could this be done or is against SME focus (KISS) ?

Thanks

Jáder

You can create a group called user and then set this user as owner of the ibay.
"It should just work" if it doesn't report it. Thanks!

Thanks by your answer but...
even if a group is owner of ibay, external (web) access to it is done by another password.
You cannot use normal user password, if user belongs to group.
Am I wrong ?

Thanks

Well you were talking about intranet not internet.
And i don't use groups because i use websharing for files in ibays so i didn't check.  :D
