Hey,
Im a noob to Sme Server but im trying to do something and im not sure if it is me.

My main pc is called XBlade (win xp), i want to plug a switch and 4 Sme Servers into XBlade and try to use the shared internet thing in xp to run the Sme servers on the net.I dont know if it helps but XBlade connects to the net via wireless router.

Can anyone tell me how to set it up i havent slept for 3 days

Two questions...
1.) Why do you need 4 servers on the same line?
2.) Why do you have to plug your servers into the computer (why not use it in server/gateway mode and plug the router in your server)?

i need 4 servers because each one has a different job like movies,music ect. i need them plugged into XBlade so i can use my screen in a KVM +its easy to fix them + they are in a convenient spot

You can have different ibays and only one server for that.

You can administer SME troug server-manager or via other methods.

 Ok i can't argue with the last two.  

You could set them up in server mode and give them static ip's but i still think that having more that one server is a waste of resources.

If a switch is ment to be invisible doesn't that mean it should seem like the sme server is just plugged into XBlade. Can you start by telling me how to set the servers up so i can use them on XBlade atleast

Have you had a chance to read the documentation yet? It will help explain quite a few things...
A graphic example of the server modes that bpvik mentions are found here. And information on configuring the server can be found here. Information on the web-based administration from anywhere on your network (or the internet if you have it configured that way) can be found here.

I have never tried to use XP internet connection sharing and SME as I use an SME server in server/gateway mode, but it should be pretty straight forward... I would guess that you will have to give your servers addresses of 192.168.0.xxx as I think that ICS sets up your gateway address to be 192.168.0.1.

You will probably also have to make sure that your router is using something other than 192.168.0.xxx addresses...

Or if you router handles DHCP service then all you need to do is to give your servers addresses of 192.168.0.xxx and it sohuld work.

But you should look at the links haymann posted.

ill just set up 1 server.
the server ip is 192.168.1.249
netmask 255.255.255.0
i need the rest of the info just so i can use the server for file storage just on xblade, Not the network or internet

Read the manual it should help you.
Check the part about gorups and ibays.
