mail using horde not to reach to hotmail.com
« on: March 19, 2007, 02:52:03 PM »
OK, if i use horde to write a mail to xxx@hotmail.com , the mail doesnt reach to the acount xxx@hotmail.com, but if i write a mail using a mail client(evolution, outlook, thunderbird) works OK.
So i try to send from xxx@hotmail.com to the acount in the sme server (7.1.2) and reach OK and if i reply this message it reach to the xxx@hotmail.com, but like i a say before if i write a message directly (with out reply one) the email doesnt reach to the xxx@hotmail.com acount.
One more thing the emails go out the the sme server , they dont keep in the queue but they dont reach to destiny, its works only using mail clients.
anybody can helpme?

Could you report a bug please, I experience just the same problem, when I reply, the mail get's at the hotmail address.
If you don't start a bug, I will do it later this evening (no time now).

Thanx

Reported as a bug:

http://bugs.contribs.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2742

this bug was closed, i open other :

http://bugs.contribs.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2803

because the problem is not resolved, and i have info to add.

Similar to bug 2742 that was closed.

I use sme 7.1.3
I have Static IP
I have PTR record set up.

And one thing that i realize is that if i send a mail from horde to
xxx@hotmail.com its dont reach to the hotmail acount inbox (its true that the
log say that the hotmail response was that the message is queue to deliver),
and then i send a mail from outlook (this message reach very instantaneously)
and see the log (like you can see) both messages have the same number but only
the second (sended with outlook) reach to the hotmail acount inbox.

You should state your concern on the horde imp list and see if anyone has a suggestion.  Also check bugs.horde.org and see if it has been reported  there.  You can keep your bug at contribs.org, but if it is a bug, then it will have to be fixed upstream.

OK, but if is a bug of horde, all of us are using horde because is the default web appl in sme, so i thing the everyone has to have the same problem, and only 2 people are reporting this  error, thats not common.

A bug is a bug and it doesn't matter if you're the only one having problems so just report it.
"It should just work" if it doesn't report it. Thanks!
