Once a week or so our SME 7.1.3 mail gateway stops working. ClamAV is not updated and at that point no mail is delivered at all, except freshclam error mails once an hour.
Error mail content:

2007-04-11 21:35:29.307985500 ERROR: Can't lock database directory: /var/clamav
Restarting ClamAv doesn't work. After a little research, removing the lock-file in /var/clamav followed by a reboot makes thing work again. For a week or so...
I even reinstalled the entire server. Even then it only worked for a few days.
Can anyone help me with this? I wouldn't like to add a reboot cron script.......................
