Topic: moving files and settings from sme 6 to 7.

I have installed sme 7 on to a new computer. I have installed all the updates and now IM at sme 7.1.3.

I have done some reading on copying the users files and names etc over to the new computer. There is  a lot of discussion on the news groups on this. The volume of it has me a little confused and some of the info is old eg 2004 it appears.
Is there up to date informaiton on how to do this or even if it should really be tried?
One method that seems easy is just to a backup through the server-manager backup and then restore it. But people seem to talk about various issues, if you have custom templates and differences in email folder name.
I actually dont use the email in the SME, we use exchange and just use sme to check for virus's and spam.

Reasonable simple solutions to do this? move data, settings, and custom templates over to 7.0. If not how about just users.
