I have installed an APC ES 500 USB UPS and configured it with NUT. upsc UPS@localhost returns all the correct information. Running /sbin/usbdrvctl directly from the command line correctly powers down the UPS however upsmon -c shutdown correctly shuts down the computer and writes the file /etc/killpower but when the scripts gets to the command /sbin/usbdrvctl an error is generated with something like No matching USB/HID UPS found or something like that and shuts down the computer but does not shut down the UPS and the computer does not reboot. All the ups files are located in /etc/ups. Is the location of the files incorrect, maybe not on a mounted drive by this point in the shutdown process? Have the USB devices been shutdown before it got to this point?
Any ideas of how I can correct the installation?
Thanks
