Topic: VPN ERROR 721 -solved ---now new problem

I set up a server about 7 days ago. VPN was working absolutely fine behind my linksys router. I could connect ,disconnect as many times as i desired. But from today I am unable to connect to my server via VPN i get the error 721 , i looked in the contribs and found that there is some bug. i have used the sme server iso 7.1 and since then not upgraded any modules from the net. the server worked fine for 7 days. pptp numbers of users set to 2. Please help how to resolve this issue.

I upgraded the kernel and kmod slip and smp files and now the error has gone. But i want to know is there a bug in the files carried by the 7.1 iso.

As  per my earlier post I encountered the error 721 problem which got solved after updating certain files. now there is a new problem: if i eanble remote gateway in the vpn connection I cannot browse the server nor ping the local ip of the server. e.g my server is behind a linksys router router ip is 192.168.1.50 and server ip is 192.168.1.3 server in in plain server mode with gateway and dhcp disabled. when i connect from a remote windows xp machine i can connect, my remote machine gets ip 192.168.1.249 but if i ping 192.168.1.3 i get request timed out. And if i try to browse by tying \\192.168.1.3 i cannot browse the contents of ther server.    Now if I disable use gateway of remote server and then connect I can do both ping the server ip 192.168.1.3 and browse using \\192.168.1.3 sucessfully. Earlier when I installed sme server 7.1 from iso both the ways i could ping and browse but now it is only one way. Help
